06.02.08 - AMR Research reports on ABACUS

AMR Research's Derek Prior has recently published an article titled 'Enterprise Architecture Techniques for SAP Customers'. In the article he discusses how some of the leading SAP customers have been quietly deploying enterprise architecture techniques to transform their business and prepare for SOA.

One example he cites as best-practice for managing strategic business transformation is Birmingham City Council's (BCC) use of ABACUS to build and maintain their enterprise-wide framework.

In referring to BCC's approach using ABACUS he said: "This pay-as-you-go, real-world approach to EA worked and revealed unexpected insight into the best overall metrics tradeoff."
